Tuition fees are refundable ONLY if requested in writing before the first class of the course. There will be a processing fee of £30.00.

Refunds will be issued to all students who cancel in writing, by the refund/cancellation deadline. You can mail or fax your cancellation (e-mail: cenman@cervantes.es or fax: 0161-611 4203). We cannot prorate classes or transfer unused class time to another semester.

3. TEACHERS AND CLASSES

Teachers are not assigned to their classes until the week prior to the beginning of each course.

Instituto Cervantes reserves the right to reassign teachers after a course has started.

We cannot guarantee that students and their former classmates will be placed into the same section if there are two sections

of the same level running simultaneously.

A follow-up course is always offered within the Academic Year for students currently enrolled in a class, even if it is not on the

printed programme. A minimum of 6 students is required for courses to take place.

Generally, the minimum class size is six and the maximum is sixteen. Please enrol early or we may not be able to accommodate you at the time that best fits your schedule.

There are times when we may decide to open a class with more students, depending on the course and needs of the Institute. No class will be opened with fewer than six students.

Instituto Cervantes reserves the right to cancel courses for which fewer than six students have registered. Students enrolled in a cancelled course will be notified and may transfer to another section of the same price range, providing it is not full, or request a full refund.

6. ATTENDANCE

Attendance is the student’s responsibility. If a student does not attend a class, the lesson cannot be made up at another time. Once classes begin there is no transferring between classes.

Please get a fellow student’s telephone number or contact your teacher for homework in cases of absence. You can send an email to acman1@cervantes.es writing the name of the teacher as the topic of your email.

Once a class has been assigned to a student they may not attend a different class or course.

Students are required to pass the last course of each level (Elementary 5, Intermediate 4, Advanced 5, Higher 6) in order to advance to the following level.
